We started this resin surfacing project in November and after installing the permeable concrete base we, unfortunately, had to delay resin installation due to wet weather. Luckily, we found a couple of sunny days to lay the resin and finished everything in time for the festive season.
Out of all houses on the street, this one is definitely a show stopper boasting a seamless driveway that’s also permeable, SUDs compliant and low-maintenance. Thanks to weed-resistant features, the look of this resin driveway won’t be ruined by pesky weeds.
We also installed spotlights to illuminate the edges of the driveway as part of the whole driveway makeover. The spotlights create a warm ambient atmosphere and help safely park during long and dark winter evenings.
If you’ve ever wondered if resin bound surfaces can be installed with electric gates, then the answer is yes. This property had automated gates already installed, so we made sure the gate is still operating as it should after the resin driveway was installed.
To test that everything is working as it should, we opened and closed the gates before the resin was fully cured, giving us an opportunity to fix if anything was wrong. Fortunately, the resin thickness was just right and the gates were operating without any problems.
